Welcome To The Acting Dojo
Just like in martial arts, where belts show your level and progress, our grading system also lets students see how far they’ve come.

But instead of belts, we use bracelets
Instead of karate kicks and breaking boards, it’s acting skills and making movies!
Enter the Bracelet System
no bracelet— First timer
Focus: Settling into class and getting comfortable
Requirements for their first bracelet:
Students receive their first bracelet after completing two classes with enthusiasm, participation and a positive attitude.
Theme: "Finding your feet and stepping into the world of acting"

⚪ White — Beginner
Focus: Awareness
They learn:
Observing, listening, basic empathy, point of view and having Intention.
Theme: “Learning how to see”
🟡 Yellow — Novice
Focus: Acting with purpose
They learn:
Chasing a want, basic doings, justification, importance & acting from a honest place.
Theme: “Understanding drive and want”
🟢 Green — Elementary
Focus: Perception
They learn:
Real relationships, prejudice & bias
Theme: “Understanding how we see others”
🔵 Blue — Intermediate
Focus: Imagination
They learn:
Imaginary relationships, raw solo emotion & starting off all scenes with a bang!
Theme: “Entering the world beyond yourself”
🟣 Purple — Proficient
Focus: Structure
They learn:
Applying technique to commercials, Having a deep connection with lines & character beats.
Theme: “Building the actor’s toolbox”
🔴 Red — Adept
Focus: Application & consistency
They learn:
Extreme raw solo emotional work, Tying all skills together, Scene work with complexity ,Self-tape audition technique & In-person audition technique.
Theme: “Everything starts working together”
🟤 Brown — Advanced
Focus: Transformation and range
They learn:
Landing a point to the audience, physical characteristics, mental characteristics & full character transformation.
Theme: “Breaking personal limits and transforming the self”
âš« Black — Protégé
Focus: Mastery, industry & leadership
They learn and get a chance to:
Infinite rotation of characters and scenes, preparing for real-world auditions, being in productions &
assisting teaching at the school.
Theme: “You are now on the road to being a professional”
🟠✨ Gold — Virtuoso
Focus: Being a professional actor
They have achieved:
Completing all course content, landed your first professional acting job & joined the faculty as a teacher
Theme: “You are now a working artist”
